The Meraki Design Experience is our standalone design service for homeowners planning complete, multi-element projects. It turns your vision into a fully realized design you can walk through, refine and build from.
What Your Design Includes
The Design Experience is created for homeowners planning complete backyard renovations, estate-scale outdoor living and multi-element projects across Denver, Douglas Country, Jefferson County, and beyond.
It begins with a 3D model of your home and property, built from site photos, video and measurements so every element is designed in context. From there, your backyard comes to life in photorealistic renderings that show materials, lighting and landscape as they will look from morning through evening. A 3D video walkthrough lets you move through the space the way you will live in it, and with a VR headset, you can stand inside your future backyard before anything is built.
The process is collaborative. We refine the design with you until every detail feels right, then deliver a complete plan set with master, hardscape and landscape plans and material takeoffs, ready to guide construction.
If you are planning a single feature or a small update, this service will be more than you need.

Our founder Matthew began his experience as a builder as a summer job in college. After completing school and spending two years in the corporate world, he realized his passion was working with his hands, creating custom outdoor living spaces and building dreams. Matthew has worked every position in the outdoor living world, from building decks to project management, to now founding Meraki Outdoor Living, Matthew is truly an expert in the industry. Above all, Matthew believes in blending creativity with functionality.
Meraki Outdoor Living is truly a family effort. Matthew’s wife, Lindsay, manages marketing and brand experience. Their little cubs, Bobbi, Pax, and Elli are their biggest motivation and remind them daily of the importance of making memories with the ones they love most.
Our team is a mosaic of talent including professional project managers, builders and an incredible office assistant. Every single person that works with Meraki Outdoor Living shares our same values – love, creativity and soul.
